Chris Spencer

Creative Media Producer

Background: Creative Storytelling & Visual Media

Born and raised in the south of England until the age of thirteen, his love for football (soccer) and music began early. From piano lessons to playing drums and guitar in a rock band throughout secondary school, creativity was always part of daily life. After moving to New Brunswick with his family and finishing school there, he settled in Ottawa for post-secondary studies and has called the city home ever since. He’s loved watching Ottawa grow and evolve, embracing its transformation into a more vibrant capital city. Rather than resisting Canada’s seasons, he’s learned to celebrate them — now spending his time fishing, ice fishing, camping, exploring with a rooftop tent, overlanding, snowboarding, and seeking out new outdoor adventures whenever possible. Being outside grounds him, slows him down, and keeps him connected to what truly matters.

Growing up constantly filming and creating small movies, it felt natural to pursue video professionally. After post-secondary, he chose storytelling through film over a full-time path in music, dedicating his work to helping others share stories that inspire, move, and connect. Music remains close to his heart through Sunday worship and the occasional songwriting session or local gig. Capturing outdoor adventures across Canada has become another creative outlet, encouraging others to slow down, be present, and “smell the roses.” He believes the gifts he’s been given are meant to serve others — and that belief continues to shape the purpose behind his work with Goodstory.
