We are incredibly proud to share that our very own Jen Alvarenga has officially joined the Board of Directors of the Ottawa Community Housing Foundation.
Jen’s commitment to community has always gone far beyond real estate. For more than a decade, she has shown up with heart, integrity, and an unwavering belief that housing, stability, and dignity are the foundation for people to move forward and for our city to thrive. She is deeply passionate about building connected cities—places with walkable neighbourhoods, strong local fabric, and environments that make everyday life more enjoyable. Ottawa has so much to offer in this regard, and Jen has long believed in protecting and strengthening what makes our city special.
The Ottawa Community Housing Foundation plays a critical role in our city—supporting affordable housing and community-building initiatives that impact thousands of residents across Ottawa. Their work goes far beyond housing alone, strengthening neighbourhoods, supporting well-being, and helping create more inclusive, connected communities. Joining the OCH Foundation Board feels like a natural extension of the work she has been quietly and consistently doing behind the scenes: advocating for people, strengthening community, and helping create real, lasting impact in Ottawa.
As Co-Founder of GoodStory, Jen leads with purpose and empathy, reminding us daily that success is not just measured in transactions, but in how we show up for others. Her passion for helping people grow through real estate, supporting families, and giving back to the city we love is deeply woven into who we are as a team.
We are so proud to see her bring that same care, perspective, and leadership to the OCH Foundation. This role reflects Jen’s values and her belief that everyone deserves a safe place to call home and a chance to move forward.
We cannot wait to see the positive impact she will continue to make through her work on the board and throughout our city.
