GOODSTORY x UNCOMMON 2026

There are some organizations you support because they align with what you believe. UNCOMMON Ottawa is one of them.

Founded by Xenia and Kate, UNCOMMON exists to bring together and celebrate Ottawa’s extraordinary community of designers, architects, builders, makers, and creative professionals. It recognizes that creativity flourishes when people share ideas, champion one another, and build community together.

That’s something we deeply believe in at GOODSTORY.

As real estate professionals, we have the privilege of stepping inside hundreds of homes every year. We’ve learned that the homes people remember aren’t always the largest or the most expensive. They’re the ones designed with intention. The ones that reflect the people who live there. The ones that make you feel something the moment you walk through the door.

Thoughtful design changes the way a home is experienced.

It creates comfort. It encourages connection. It makes everyday life more enjoyable. And when the time comes to sell, we’ve also seen how great design often creates lasting value because buyers connect emotionally with a home long before they compare square footage or finishes.

That’s why we believe the work of designers matters so much.

At GOODSTORY, we’ve always believed that a home is more than a property. It’s where birthdays are celebrated, children grow up, difficult conversations happen, traditions begin, and memories are made.

Every home has a story.

Our role is to help tell that story well. Sometimes that means helping clients find the right home. Sometimes it means working alongside talented designers and creatives to prepare a home for market. And sometimes it simply means helping people see the potential and personality that already exists within a space.

Supporting UNCOMMON is a natural extension of that belief.

To Xenia, Kate, and everyone who makes this community so special, thank you for creating a place where Ottawa’s creative community can learn from one another, celebrate one another, and continue raising the bar together.

We’re grateful to be part of it.
